Master of Education in Counseling

The Master of Education in Counseling program is designed for full-time working adults who wish to earn a graduate degree on a part-time basis. Most students can complete their degree in approximately two years.
Students may choose to specialize in:
- Elementary/secondary school counseling
- Professional counseling (LPC)
- Professional counseling with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT)

Students with a master's degree in counseling and/or Licensed Professional Counselors may obtain a post-graduate certificate in Marriage & Family Therapy.
The Stephens College Master of Education in Counseling Program is approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education.
Application and Admission
Students
may apply for admission at any time during
the year. Upon acceptance, students may enroll in classes for the
next scheduled sesssion.
