Alumni Spotlight: Anne Louise Wallace ’82
Behind the Scenes at NBC Nightly News
Stephens College President Dr. Shannon B. Lundeen and Vice President of Advancement Kelley Marchbanks recently had the pleasure of reconnecting with Anne Louise Wallace ’82 during a behind-the-scenes visit to NBC Nightly News in New York City.
Anne Louise, a proud Stephens Mass Communications graduate, has built an exceptional career in television as a stage manager and production professional. Her résumé includes work on some of the most recognizable and beloved productions in American media. From The Cosby Show and Sesame Street to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, her talent and reliability have made her a trusted presence on sets where precision and calm under pressure are essential.
Today, Anne Louise serves as a stage manager for NBC Universal, helping bring one of the nation’s most-watched nightly broadcasts to millions of viewers. Her leadership, creativity, and behind-the-camera expertise exemplify the powerful impact Stephens graduates continue to make across industries.
During the visit, President Lundeen and Marchbanks had the opportunity to watch Anne Louise in action—coordinating seamlessly with anchors, production teams, and technical staff in the fast-paced environment of live national news. The experience was a proud reminder of the many Stephens alumnae whose work shapes the media landscape every day, often quietly and without public recognition.
Anne Louise represents the very best of Stephens: women who lead, women who innovate, and women who make their mark through excellence and dedication. We are grateful for the chance to celebrate her extraordinary career and share her story with the Stephens community.
