About Marina Diaz

Marina Diaz is a former News Reporter and Anchor who built her career telling community-centered stories and delivering impactful, hard-hitting news across Mid-Missouri. She previously worked at ABC 17 News in Columbia, Missouri, where she covered a wide range of local issues with clarity, depth, and compassion.

Before entering the newsroom, Marina played basketball and lacrosse at Missouri Valley College, earning multiple awards as the lead anchor for the college newscast on KMVC. She was also a key member of the Vikings Athletics Broadcast team, sharpening her skills both behind the camera and in directing live productions.

Driven by a long-standing passion for storytelling, Marina believes every person has a story worth telling — and she’s dedicated her career to bringing those stories to life.

A proud Colorado native, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and photography whenever she’s not behind a camera.
