The Facilities team at Stephens College plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the campus environment to ensure it is safe, functional, and welcoming for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

This dedicated team manages the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, handling routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations. From maintaining heating, cooling, and electrical systems to ensuring clean and well-kept classrooms, offices, and shared spaces, their work supports an optimal environment for learning and campus life.

Facilities collaborates closely with the Security team to promote campus safety. Together, they oversee fire systems, building security, and emergency preparedness, creating a secure and protected campus community.

The team also ensures the campus remains beautiful year-round through landscaping and groundskeeping, while preserving historic structures and modern facilities. Beyond daily operations, they play a key role in supporting campus events by managing logistics and setup, bringing college activities to life.

Whether responding to maintenance requests, enhancing campus safety, or driving long-term improvements, the Facilities team is committed to keeping Stephens College running smoothly and looking its best.

Campus Mail Services

Facilities manage campus mail operations located in Stamper Hall, where packages are made available 24/7 through a convenient digital locker system. Students are assigned individual mailboxes for USPS mail.

Submit a Work Order

The Facilities Department utilizes Brightly – Asset Essentials to streamline work order submissions, tracking, and management for students, faculty, and staff. This system allows users to:

  • Submit work orders online.
  • Review work order history and monitor the status of current requests.

Emergency Reporting Protocol

For emergencies that pose an immediate safety concern (e.g., flooded bathrooms, gas leaks, power outages):

  1. During Business Hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.):
    • Contact the Maintenance Office at (573) 876-7171.
  2. After Hours and Weekends:
    • Contact Security at (573) 876-7299.

Submission Process

  1. Log in to Brightly using your Stephens College credentials.
  2. Submit a new work order with all required details.
