Student Success Center

Here to support you, every step of the way.
The Margaret Campbell Student Success Center

The Margaret Campbell Student Success Center provides academic resources and ADA/Section 504 accessibility services to Stephens College students.

The Center promotes student success by supporting learning and growth both inside and outside of the classroom, and it facilitates accessibility through ADA/Section 504 accommodations that eliminate barriers to access.

Whether students utilize the Center for one-on-one academic skills coaching, writing or content tutoring, ADA/Section 504 services, workshops, or independent study in a quiet space, they will find Center staff to be warm, friendly and enthusiastic about supporting Stephens students.

Success Center Services

To make an appointment, email successcenter@stephens.edu or schedule online through the link below.

Writing Tutoring

Writing tutors are available to assist with initiating the writing process; developing ideas; outlining; improving organization, mechanics and grammar; refining research skills and citation; and avoiding plagiarism.

After an appointment with a writing tutor has been confirmed, you may send your paper via email directly to your writing tutor, so the writing tutor can review the paper before your appointment. Success Center writing tutors are available at various times throughout the week to review papers and meet with students.

Subject Tutoring

One-on-one and group tutoring are available for select undergraduate courses. Don’t wait until you are behind!  Contact us as soon as you realize you need a little extra help to succeed in that course.

Academic Coaching

The Student Success Center can help with setting academic goals and handling setbacks, managing time, reading academic texts, studying and taking notes effectively, engaging in classroom discussions, communicating with professors, utilizing Canvas and MyStephens, and more.

If you need some assistance with time management or have questions about using the computer apps utilized at Stephens College, please reach out to set up an appointment.  Don’t wait until you are behind in your courses and trying to catch up before that final exam or project.

ADA/Section 504 Accommodations

The Margaret Campbell Student Success Center is committed to offering reasonable ADA/Section 504 accommodations for individuals with accessibility needs and removing barriers to access through modifications to classroom and campus environments. Center staff look forward to serving individuals who wish to register for these services.
