About Char Johnson

Britney “Char” Johnson is a Columbia, MO native, but has lived in multiple places around the state. After graduating high school, she moved to KC and earned at Bachelors of Fine Arts in Animation at the Kansas City Art Institute. Following this, she decided to travel abroad and lived and worked as an ALT (assistant language teacher) in Japan, not only teaching students of all ages, but assisting and training fellow English teachers. She then moved back to Columbia after 7+ years of living abroad to be closer to family and friends.

Char enjoys art and crafting in her spare time, not only drawing but also cross stitch and making wreaths. She is also a huge video game and animation nerd and enjoys going to conventions and presenting panels to other fans. She otherwise spends time reading fantasy novels and cuddling with her cute kitty son, Maru.
