About Corey Wright

Corey Wright is Assistant Professor of Dance at the Conservatory at Stephens College. As a multidisciplinary director, writer, choreographer, and educator, Corey’s work spans television, film, animation, and live performance.

Corey has taught at UCLA and Chapman University and is known for building inclusive, high-impact creative spaces that prioritize both artistic excellence and emotional well-being. His credits include XANADU: REMAP developed in partnership with Disney and UCLA, and he recently served as a 2025 Western Arts Alliance panelist, speaking on the intersection of AI and theatre.

As a mental health practitioner currently pursuing a space in clinical mental health counseling, Corey brings a culturally competent, artist-centered approach to every room he enters. His work is rooted in the belief that empowering begins with creating environments where safety, identity, and expression are core values.

Corey leads with curiosity and care, and with a deep commitment to shaping the next generation of artists. Corey has a penchant for pushing individuals to the edge of their limits and watching them defy their own ideals. I mean, if not that, then what?
