About Elizabeth (Liz) Babb
Elizabeth (Liz) Babb serves as the Advancement Funding Strategist and Grant Writer. She graduated from the University of Missouri in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing in Animal Science and International Studies. Liz worked for MU for nearly eight years in the Office of Research as an Animal Care & Use Committee Coordinator and member before moving to the Truman VA in 2019 where she administered all Truman VA Research Committees – Research Safety, Animal Studies, and the Research & Development Committee. Additionally, she served as Human Research Protections specialist, Research Information Security specialist, and VA liaison to the MU Institutional Review Board.
In late 2023 Liz joined Stephens College’s Office of Institutional Advancement, drawing on years of Administrative and Research experience to grow Stephens’ programs.
With her husband Daniel and stepdaughter Lorelei, Liz enjoys the local farmers market, fishing, kayaking, cooking & baking, board games, and playing with Aussie Dogtor Bones McCoy (McCoy for short).
