About Rachel Lightfoot

Rachel loves helping students grow their confidence in science and mathematics, as well as instilling a curiosity about the natural world. She earned a BS in biology with a chemistry minor at Stephens in 2015 before going on to attend medical school at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Though she still cherishes her experiences from the wards abroad, she ultimately decided to leave the medical field and pursue her first love, teaching and science education. As an alum and former peer science tutor at the Student Success Center, she is ecstatic to return to Stephens at the start of this new chapter.

In her free time, Rachel still loves to travel and experience different places through their local food. She also enjoys painting, embroidery, and co-writing novels with her wife and best friend.
