AI Literacy
AI isn’t the future anymore. It’s already in the room. Whether you’re going into healthcare, education, law, marketing, or something that doesn’t exist yet, employers want graduates who know how to work with these tools.
The AI Literacy minor is built for every major, not just technical ones. No coding required; no computer science background needed. Just curiosity about how AI works and where it’s headed. You’ll learn to use AI thoughtfully, make better decisions with it, apply it to creative work, and think critically about the ethical questions it raises.
Pair it with your major, and you graduate as someone who can use AI in your field, not just someone who’s heard of it.
Why This Matters Right Now
AI skills are the single hardest skill set employers can’t find. They rank #1 globally in the ManpowerGroup 2026 Talent Shortage Survey of 39,000 employers across 41 countries.
A few numbers worth knowing:
- 90% of employers expect to use AI solutions by 2028
- 73% say hiring AI-literate talent is a priority
- Employers are willing to pay 35% more for employees with AI expertise
The shortage spans every industry: healthcare, finance, hospitality, manufacturing, education, government. Wherever you want to work, this skill set opens doors.

The AI Literacy minor is a career multiplier. It makes you more effective in whatever field you choose. A few examples of what graduates can do when they pair this minor with their major:
