Library

We are beyond fortunate at CSSC to have access to the Hugh Stephens College Library. Our librarians curate a fantastic children’s section that keeps students excited about reading and brings new books into our orbit.

A few ways we use our library…

Multi-Age Elementary students walk over to the library weekly to explore and check out new books, read independently, and meet for weekly book clubs.
Younger students visit to discover new picture books, meet with librarians for lessons on what the library has to offer, and read and check out books.
Faculty and student teachers work with librarians to build text sets for units. For example, when finding books for a unit on castles, the librarians helped us find physical and digital texts we used for research and inspiration.
Recommendations! Our librarians always have excellent recommendations that become read-alouds in our classrooms.

Each student has a library card, and CSSC families have access to the library during library hours. Check out a book to read at home or browse the collection and enjoy a sunny, spacious reading paradise.
