The Stephens College nursing program, known for its 100% NCLEX-RN pass rate and 100% employment rate, offers students a clear competitive edge.

Through our partnership with Boone Hospital Center, Stephens offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to gain clinical experience early in their nursing education.

Why Stephens?

Private college myth: Our total tuition and fees are almost $9,000 lower than that of other nursing programs. PLUS, our graduates will earn higher salaries faster by graduating in three years instead of four.

Direct Entry: Start nursing classes your freshman year and earn your B.S.N. in three years (including two summers). There’s no secondary application in sophomore or junior year.

Experience: Hands-on clinical work in the Simulation Center and with real patients at Magnet Hospital Boone Health (Stephens’ neighbor, just a block east of campus). You’ll complete six semesters of clinical practice. Our curriculum includes the full spectrum of health across age groups and levels of need, including experiences in a premiere hospital and other regional healthcare settings.

Accreditation: Our Nursing program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Missouri Board of Nursing, signifying the exceptional quality and value you’ll find at Stephens.

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Stephens College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.

The Stephens College Nursing Program has the full approval of the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Upon completing the program, graduates are eligible to take the licensing examination for professional registered nurses (NCLEX-RN). Graduation from a nursing program does not guarantee licensure eligibility. https://www.pr.mo.gov/nursing.asp

The Stephens Advantage: We limit the program size to 24 students per cohort. The faculty know and support you, and your small cohort of peers support each other.
